What Is Augmented Reality? (The Short Version)
Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that overlays digital content — images, sounds, 3D objects, or information — onto the real world in real time. The two technologies can converge (Apple Vision Pro blurs the line), but they solve fundamentally different problems. AR makes the real world more useful. VR takes you out of the real world.
